On February 19th, our team departed for a 12-day medical missions outreach in Mali. We are partnering with the staff of the Hospital for Women and Children in Koutiala, along with a Malian pastor, to provide medical services in the more rural areas.

Power outages and unreliable internet connections caused us to finish posting the blog after we returned... keep checking, more is coming.

Malian Blanket Ministry

Our young friend, 10-year old Malia Hutton, started the Malian Blanket Ministry. She asked the Mali Medical Team 211 to deliver six new handmade blankets to the Koutiala Women and Children's Hospital. It was such a privilege for our team to be a small part of her tremendous effort as we presented Malia’s blankets to the moms and their preemie babies who really needed these soft, warm blankets.

Malia included a photo of herself for each mom to keep, a card sending her greetings, and a blessing for each mother and child receiving her ministry gift. Here are the photos of those moms and babies as we handed off the gifts. It was high on the list of many great moments our team experienced. The moms all send their grateful appreciation for your loving gift, Malia. God bless your ministry.

We have seen the pictures and are so excited. we are going to share these pictues with our parenting class this evening. Many of the families have donated money or fabric to make those blankets.
